Jazz Ensemble

The Jazz Ensemble performs jazz standards as well as original jazz/world music arrangements of compositions from different genres. This class is open to both music and non-music majors who have prior performing experience as instrumentalists and/or vocalists. Auditions will be held at the beginning of the semester. Members of the ensemble are required to practice and learn their individual parts outside of class. If necessary, additional group rehearsals will be added towards the end of the semester. This ensemble collaborates with the World Percussion Ensemble for a concert at the end of the semester.
